Help Fight Retinal Disease
|
Dear Friends, We do need your help. 1. Patient Care |
![]() |
Many of our patients with poor vision are unable to afford the low vision aids which are prescribed for them. Your donations can help provide these patients with valuable tools to help them enjoy some vision.
2. Research
Research is a key role of the foundation. We need your help in providing ongoing support for the following research areas:
- Retina and Macula Regeneration
- Tissue engineering
- Stem cell research
- Biohybrid therapy
- Gene transfer
- Sporelike cell transplantation
Our goal is to fund a $25,000 grant which is given annually to the individual leading investigators whose research we support
3. Education.
The need to bring change to physicians involves education. We ask your help in supporting the many programs that we give throughout the year for doctors who are in training in eye disease.
4. Volunteers
We need volunteers to help us with our annual fundraiser. We would also appreciate names of friends or family who might like to attend in order to support the event.
The New England Retina Research and Education Foundation is a newly created, not-for-profit 501 (c) 3 organization that encourages and supports research for developing new treatments for retinal disease and promotes a multi-disciplinary approach to eye care that assures proper management of retinal diseases through diagnosis, treatment and counseling. Plans include conferences, seminars and other educational events devoted to furthering new treatment discoveries.
