Dr. Siano is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship trained retina 
specialist at New England Retina Associates committed to providing 
exceptional eye care for the local Connecticut community. 

Dr. Siano attended Stony Brook University for his undergraduate studies 
and received his medical degree from the New York College of Medicine 
graduating with honors. Following an internal medicine internship with the 
Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Dr. Siano completed 
ophthalmology residency at Nassau University Medical Center where he 
was named Chief Resident. Dr. Siano then completed advanced fellowship 
training in vitreoretinal surgery and earned his board certification from the 
American Board of Ophthalmology. 

Dr. Siano’s clinical practice focuses on the medical and surgical diseases of 
the vitreous, retina, and macula. Dr. Siano has special interest in macular 
degeneration, geographic atrophy, diabetic retinopathy, macular edema, 
retinal vein occlusion, central serous chorioretinopathy, and macular 
telangiectasia. He performs a wide range of surgical procedures including 
vitrectomy for the removal of vitreous floaters, macular pucker, macular 
hole, retinal detachment, and complications following cataract surgery 
including the secondary insertion of intraocular lens. 

In addition to his busy clinical practice, Dr. Siano is committed to advancing 
the field of ophthalmology. Dr. Siano has authored peer-reviewed 
publications and given scientific presentations at both local and national 
conferences. Through his involvement in clinical trials, Dr. Siano provides 
his patients with access to the latest cutting-edge therapeutics for 
sight-threatening disease such as macular degeneration and diabetic 
macular edema. Dr. Siano is also an active participant in numerous 
professional organizations, including the American Academy of 
Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists, and Connecticut 
Society of Eye Physicians. 

Dr. Siano believes in the early and effective management of retinal disease 
to prevent more severe complications later on. Each of his patients receive 
the highest level of individualized care and attention. He is proud to partner 
with the team of dynamic and compassionate physicians at New England 
Retina Associates and looks forward to sharing his enthusiasm with you. 
Dr. Siano holds office hours at our Greenwich, Westport, Trumbull, 
Hamden, and Waterbury locations and participates in most insurance 
plans. He is currently accepting new patients at all practice locations.
